Reminds me of my biggest hack I've learned on how to have better philosophical discussions: if you're in a semantic debate (and they usually are semantic debates), take a step back and ask "What is the question we're trying to answer in this conversation/What's the decision this is relevant to?" Like, if you're trying to define "art", it depends on the question you're trying to answer.
